Four new planning proposals were lodged this week across NSW councils. Burwood Council submitted a proposal to amend its Local Environmental Plan to include City Activation Exempt Provisions. Waverley Council lodged a proposal for 49-59 Hall Street and 69-71 Roscoe Street in Bondi Beach seeking additional permitted uses. Georges River Council and Wollondilly Shire Council each submitted proposals addressing affordable housing contributions and LEP housekeeping amendments respectively.

Thirty stage changes were recorded across active proposals this week. Notable progressions included the Employment Lands Study moving to post-exhibition at Hornsby Shire Council, and Sydney Business Park Stage 2 in Marsden Park advancing from exhibition to post-exhibition. The rezoning of land at Brobenah Road Leeton reached finalisation, while Wilton Industrial Park advanced from post-exhibition to finalisation stage at Wollondilly Shire Council.

Across proposals monitored by Lodgd's NSW Planning Portal, 328 planning proposals remain active. The tracking system recorded four new lodgements and thirty stage changes for the week ending 17 May 2026. No proposals were flagged as high priority during this reporting period.
